Hello There…

“The day you plant the seed is not the day you pick the fruit” - Proverb

I always loved to draw, then I loved to paint and for many years I loved to design and now I love making Bronze Sculptures…

Somedays I can’t decide which one I want to do the most - so I end up drawing again.

I studied the Arts after VCE at the local School of Mines in Ballarat, then went on to do my BA in Graphic Design at LaTrobe University in Bendigo before going back to square one and working a trade apprenticeship as a Finished Artist in a film house in Melbourne.

All the while I was Painting and thinking of ideas for Artworks… That is probably the hardest part of being an Artist, making something new and exciting for you to enjoy.

Moving to Melbourne from the countryside I dived into the local arts scene and had my first exhibition at Roar Studios in Brunswick St. Fitzroy in 1999. A true honour to have been a small part in the history of that lovely place.

Following up the next year at the Camberwell Fire Station with a joint exhibition. That sparked a desire in me to succeed as an Artist and I have been working towards that goal ever since.

During the recent lockdown years (in Melbourne) I dedicated my time to mastering the lost wax sculpture process and I can’t wait to share those pieces! One day soon I will hold back enough pieces to have a proper Exhibition again!

Rob.
