contemporary artists and free art classes…

There are 3 great contemporary realist Artists I like to watch on Youtube - they know their stuff and are happy to share practical tips, techniques and how they achieve the end result. All 3 have Patreon pages with more content and classes but for those starting out you can get glean so much for free with just a few quick Youtube videos. The big thing I have learnt from just these Artists is that your colour palette is key to the results you can get - the hard part is that all 3 use different colour palettes!

Next I like the relatable video presentation style (and painting technique) of the American Artist Mark Carder. Mark has excellent practical tips to get the most out of a painting session without wasting time and keeping yourself on track.

And finally I could watch the New Zealand based Andrew Tischler paint all day… his superb realism style is fantastic and his attention to detail is phenomenal. His video editing and calm manner is totally worth it. I’ve bought a couple of his Painting Videos where he walks you thorough set up to finished piece and if nothing else it will inspire confidence in even the most timid artist.
